NBI S10 / G-Body Shock Towers

Our S10 / G-Body Shock Towers are designed for builders who want to keep a stock-style front suspension while gaining more shock travel and tuning range.

These towers allow you to run 24" shocks along with taller, lighter springs for more stored spring energy and improved front suspension control. With the right supporting components, the setup can provide approximately 10.5" of suspension travel.

• Short side of the bracket with the small hole installs toward the front of the vehicle

LS Engine Clearance

• Driver side: approximately 6.5"

• Passenger side: approximately 5"

Most GM applications have the engine offset approximately 1.5" toward the passenger side from the factory.

Included Hardware

• 4 × 1/2" bolts to replace the factory A-arm mounting bolts

• 4 × 1/2" bolts for mounting the tabs to the frame

• 2 × control arm spacer plates

Recommended Setup for Maximum Travel

For customers looking to get the most travel out of the setup, we recommend pairing the towers with the following:

Control Arms
Upper and lower control arms with thicker-wall tubing and no center crossbar.

Upper Ball Joints
Pro Forged #101-10469

Bump Steer Kit
A bump steer kit is recommended and should be set at mid-travel rather than ride height.

Spindles
Use stock-style spindles. Drop spindles are not recommended with this setup.

Shocks
Strange, AFCO, Viking, and QA1 are good options.

Suggested shock dimensions:

• Compressed height: under 15"

• Extended height: 20" or more

Strange S5009 is one recommended option.

Springs
A good starting point is a 14" or 16" 250 lb spring, depending on front-end weight and your specific combination.

Important Notes

• Spring pocket modification is required.

• Welding the shock tower brackets is recommended for additional strength.

• Suspension setup and final shock/spring selection will vary depending on vehicle weight and combination.
